Rehabilitating the bridge would cost 9.75 million, and so, the county has opted to fully replace it.

The new bridge will feature a wider sidewalk on the eastern side and an additional sidewalk on the western side.

Residents are invited to provide their input through Nov. 1, beginning with a virtual meeting set for Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

Meeting materials and the presentation will be available online at www.virginiadot.org/OldGlebe, including the recorded presentation after the meeting.
